Registration Information

1) Who is eligible? Girls ages 5-14. Born between 1/1/1995 – 12/31/2004

2) When is the season? Starts 9/11/10 and ends by 11/6/10. Saturday games start at 3pm to avoid conflict with CYSA soccer games. Eight game season; 5-6 on Saturdays and 2-3 weeknight games. The Fall Season does NOT have a Tournament.

3) What is cut-off for each age division?

a)  6u - 9/1/2002 – 12/31/2004

b)  7u – 9/1/2001 -  8/31/2002

c)  8u – 9/1/2000 – 8/31/2001

d)   9u/10u – 1/1/1999 - 8/31/2000

e)  12u - 1/1/1997 - 12/31/1998

f)  14u – 1/1/95 – 12/31/96

4) Can I play with a friend? New players & former players who have not played in 2 consecutive seasons may request a team with a current player of same age. Two new players of same age may request to be on the same team. Submit request via Friends with Friends (FwF) option during on-line registration. Subject to roster availability & meeting age requirements.

5) Can we form a new team with friends? Yes, girls that have not played previously can ALL request to be placed on a team together. So form a team with your friends from girl scouts, soccer or any other group. Please contact CGSA Registrar for more information. Subject to approval by the CGSA Registrar.

6) What is interlock? Depending on the number of teams, 12U/14U teams may play with teams from Coppell, Flower Mound and other nearby towns. Majority of the games will be played in Coppell and at Bakersfield Park in Flower Mound which is less than a 10 minute drive from Andy Brown East.

7) What are the fees? $65 for Coppell residents; Non-Coppell residents $85; all fees must be received prior to the CGSA Draft for players to be ASSIGNED to a team.

8) What is “Recruit a Friend Discount”? Returning players that have a friend sign-up who has never played with CGSA or has not played in the last 2 seasons will receive a $25 rebate on their registration fee. In addition, the friend will receive a $25 rebate on their registration fee. For new players, if you recruit a friend to sign-up and play this season that has not played previously or in the last 2 seasons you will both receive the $25 rebate. If a girl recruits more than one friend than each friend will receive the $25 rebate, however, the original girl will only receive one $25 rebate. Please fill out the “Recruit a Friend” box with friend’s first and last name when registering.

10) When does registration end? Monday, August 16, 2010 at Midnight.

12) How do I apply for Financial Aid? Please send an email to CGSA Registrar at michelle@newlifestyles.com explaining the circumstances requiring you to request financial aid. Financial Aid requests can only be approved by the CGSA Registrar.

13) How do I register? Please see instructions below.

RETURNING PLAYERS:

    1. Click on “RETURNING Player/Coach Registration” on the left side of www.CoppellGirlsSoftball.com

    2. Enter your User Name and Password.

    3. If you do not remember the User Name & Password; use the “I don’t know my user name and/or password” on the bottom.

    4. Or use the link you receive from the CGSA invitation; CGSA will send out the link periodically during registration.

      1. Once logged into the system select “Fall 2010 Returning Players/Coaches

      2. Select the appropriate age division for your daughter’s team (for girls that played up please make sure to select division for their team and not their birth date – the box at the top of the page lists teams by age division).

      3. If returning to the spring 2010 team; please select the team from the list.

      4. If requesting to enter the draft; please select “unassigned”

      5. Make sure to select Player Registration and NOT Coach Registration.

      6. Then follow the directions for completing registration & payment.

    5. Payment by credit card or debit card is the only option for online registration. To pay by check or cash please contact CGSA Registrar Michelle Gowdy.

NEW PLAYER REGISTRATION

    1. If YOU are a NEW player:

      1. Click on “NEW Player/Coach Registration” on the left side of www.CoppellGirlsSoftball.com.

      2. Click on “Register Now Fall 2010 NEW Player/Coach Registration

      3. Then select the appropriate age division

      4. Girls wishing to play up should make a note in the “Notes Section”; but will not be able to register up via the registration system.

    2. Payment by credit card or debit card is the only option for online registration. To pay by check or cash please contact CGSA Registrar Michelle Gowdy.

    14) How do I register to coach?See instructions below.

    RETURNING COACH REGISTRATION

      1. Click on “RETURNING Player/Coach Registration” on the left side of www.CoppellGirlsSoftball.com which will take you to the SportsPilot Login Screen

      2. Enter your the User Name and Password.

      3. If you do not remember the User Name & Password; use the “I don’t know my user name and/or password” on the bottom.

      4. The system will take you to the registration page; please do the following:

        1. Select Register Now Fall 2010 Returning Players/Coaches

        2. Select the appropriate age division for your daughter’s team (for girls that played up please make sure to select division for their team and not their birth date – the box at the top of the page lists teams by age division).

        3. Select Individual Registration/Player Coach

        4. Select I am a Coach and would like to register for this Team”

        5. When requested for PAYMENT:

          1. Select Submit Registration Using Alternate Payment and ensure the Payment Type Box shows “Coach Registration – No Payment Req.”

      5. IF YOU RECEIVE an invitation email from CGSA to register to coach just click on the link at the bottom and it will take you to your profile. The link is valid for 24 hours from receipt. CGSA will send out the link periodically during registration.

      6. Then follow the 5 steps in step number 4 above.

    NEW COACH REGISTRATION

    1. Click on NEW Player/Coach Registration” on the left side of www.CoppellGirlsSoftball.com.

    2. Click on “Register Now Fall 2010 NEW Player/Coach Registration”

    3. Then select the appropriate age division based on your daughter’s age or team

    4. Click on “Coach Registration” and then complete the profile

    5. When requested for PAYMENT:

      1. Select Submit Registration Using Alternate Payment and ensure the Payment Type Box shows “Coach Registration – No Payment Req.”
